Transliteration: Alhamdu lillaahil-ladhi ahyaanaa ba’da maa amaatanaa wa ilayhin-nushoor.
Meaning: All praise is for Allah, who gave us life after causing us to die, and to Him is the resurrection.

2. Before Sleeping

Transliteration: Bismika Allaahumma amootu wa ahyaa.
Meaning: In Your name, O Allah, I die and I live.

Transliteration: Bismillah.

Transliteration: Bismillah, tawakkaltu ‘alallaahi wa laa hawla wa laa quwwata illa billaah.

Transliteration: Bismillah walajnaa, wa bismillah kharajnaa, wa ‘alaa Rabbinaa tawakkalnaa.
Meaning: In the name of Allah, we enter, and in the name of Allah, we leave, and upon our Lord, we place our trust.

1. Seeking Protection from Harm

Transliteration: A’oodhu bikalimaatillaahit-taammaati min sharri maa khalaq.
Meaning: I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.

2. Before Traveling

Transliteration: Subhaanal-ladhi sakhkhara lanaa haadha wa maa kunnaa lahu muqrineen. Wa innaa ilaa Rabbinaa lamunqaliboon.
Meaning: Glory be to Him who has subjected this for us, and we could not have done it on our own. And indeed, to our Lord, we will return.

1. Seeking Forgiveness

Transliteration: Astaghfirullaaha wa atoobu ilayh.
Meaning: I seek Allah’s forgiveness and turn to Him in repentance.

2. Asking for Guidance

Transliteration: Allaahummahdini wasaddidni.
Meaning: O Allah, guide me and make me steadfast.

1. When Facing Hardship

Transliteration: Hasbunallaahu wa ni’mal wakeel.

Transliteration: Allaahumma laa sahla illaa maa ja’altahu sahlan, wa anta taj’alul-hazna idha shi’ta sahlan.

Transliteration: Alhamdulillah ‘alaa kulli haal.

Transliteration: Allaahumma rabban-naas, adhhibil-ba’sa, ishfi anta ash-shaafi, laa shifaa’a illaa shifaa’uka, shifaa’an laa yughaadiru saqama.
Meaning: O Allah, Lord of the people, remove the sickness and cure it, as You are the only one who heals. There is no cure except Yours, a cure that leaves no illness behind.

Transliteration: Allaahumma ‘aafini fi badani, Allaahumma ‘aafini fi sam’i, Allaahumma ‘aafini fi basari, laa ilaaha illa anta.

Transliteration: Rabbir-hamhumaa kamaa rabbayaanee sagheeraa.
Meaning: My Lord, have mercy on them as they raised me when I was young.

Transliteration: Rabbi hab li min ladunka dhurriyyatan tayyibah, innaka samee’ud-du’aa.

Transliteration: Rabbanaa aatina fid-dunyaa hasanah, wa fil-aakhirati hasanah, wa qinaa ‘adhaaban-naar.
Meaning: Our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

Transliteration: Allaahumma inni as’aluka sihhatan wa ‘afiyatan wa husnal khuluq wa rizqan tayyiban.
